Search Recipes
Find anything across your current plan, favorites, and history
Search your entire recipe collection in one place. Switch between Search (type any word to match title, ingredients, or instructions) and "I Have..." (list the ingredients in your fridge, ranked by how many match each recipe). Results are tagged with where they came from: PlanFavoriteHistory
Matches title, ingredients, and instructions. Try "chicken" or "slow cooker".

Recipe History
Every recipe that's ever been in one of your plans
This is an automatic log of every recipe that's ever appeared in a plan you've loaded. Even if a recipe is no longer in your current plan, you can find it here. You can favorite any history entry to bring it forward.
🕮No recipe history yet.
Favorite Recipes
Recipes you've starred to keep forever
Click the ★ star on any recipe to save a copy here. Favorites are stored separately from your meal plan, so they survive plan changes, imports, and new AI-generated plans — you'll never lose them. When you generate a new plan, you can optionally include any of your favorites so they carry over.
★No favorites yet. Click the star on any recipe to save it here.
Completed Recipes
Recipes you've marked as done this plan
Click Mark Done on any recipe to track what you've already cooked. Done recipes stay visible in their original week (struck-through and dimmed) so you can see your progress at a glance, and they also appear here in one place. Click Undo to restore any of them.
👨🍳No recipes marked as done yet. Hit "Mark Done" on any recipe to track your progress.
Generate New Meal Plan
How this works: Fill out the form below with your preferences. When you click Generate Prompt, a detailed AI prompt will be created that you can copy and paste into any AI tool (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to generate a fresh meal plan tailored to your needs.
Once the AI returns a response, copy its JSON output and use the Import button on the main page to load the new plan — it will replace the current one.
Tip: Use Backup on the main page before importing a new plan so you can restore your current recipes, shopping progress, and done state if needed.
Basic Settings
How much food to plan for. Servings per meal can be a range like "4-6" if you want leftovers or have a variable number of eaters.
Meals to Plan
Which meals of the day do you want the AI to plan recipes for? Only dinner is selected by default, but pick as many as you want. This determines how many total recipes get generated per week (days × meals selected).
Recipe Types (per week)
Tell the AI how many of each type of recipe you want per week, based on how your schedule actually looks. Your week probably isn't uniform — some days you're busy with meetings and can't step away to cook, other days you have time to tend a smoker all afternoon. This is where you match recipes to reality.
Night-Before (Prep Ahead): Throw everything in a slow cooker the night before or first thing in the morning — perfect for meeting-heavy days when you can't stop to cook during the day. Minimal Effort: Sheet pan, dump-and-bake, one-pot meals. 15 minutes of active work or less. During the Day: Moderate hands-on cooking. Good for days you can step into the kitchen for 30-45 minutes. Smoker / Grill: Long cook times but mostly passive. Good for weekends or days you're home but working remotely. Quick (Under 30 min): Fast weeknight meals when you forgot to prep anything. Something Else: Describe any other style you want in your own words (e.g., "one batch-cooking session for the week" or "two freezer-to-oven meals").
The counts should add up to your total meals per week (shown below). Don't worry about getting it perfect — the AI will use this as guidance.
Cooking Equipment
List the appliances and cookware you actually own and like to use. The AI will only suggest recipes that fit your setup — no point getting a sous vide recipe if you don't have one. Comma-separated.
Preferred Grocery Stores
Which stores do you shop at? List them comma-separated (e.g., "Costco, WinCo, Trader Joe's"). The AI will split the shopping list between stores based on what each store carries best and where you're likely to get the best price — bulk meats at Costco, produce and staples at your discount grocer, specialty items at a supermarket, etc.
Dietary Restrictions / Allergies
Anything that needs to be avoided for health or preference reasons. Be specific about severity if it matters (e.g., "severe peanut allergy — no cross-contamination" vs "prefers less dairy").
Additional Instructions
A freeform spot for anything else the AI should know. Examples: "prefer budget-friendly ingredients", "kids don't like spicy food", "serve around 2:30 PM on weekends", "make sure leftovers work well for work lunches", "focus on comfort food this month".
Previous Recipes
Your current plan's recipes are listed below. Use this to influence what carries over into the new plan — bring back the hits, skip the misses.
Check any recipes you'd like the AI to include again in the new plan:
★ Include Favorites
Any recipe you've starred as a favorite will show up here. Check any you'd like the AI to include in the new plan. Favorites stay in your favorites list regardless of what you check — this just controls whether they also appear in the new meal plan.
Generated Prompt
Copy this prompt and paste it into Claude (or any AI). Then paste the JSON response back using the Import button.
Import Plan Data
⚠️
Warning — You could lose your current plan!
Importing will permanently replace your current plan, along with any recipes you've marked as done, any shopping items you've checked off, items you've moved between stores, and items you've added yourself. There is no undo.
If you haven't backed up yet, close this window and click the Backup button first so you can restore your current plan later if needed.
Two ways to load a plan:
• Restoring a backup? Use Option A below and pick the .json backup file you downloaded.
• Loading a new plan from an AI? Copy the AI's whole response and use Option B below. If you saved it as a file first, Option A works too.
Option ALoad from a fileEasiest
Got a .json file on your computer? Click the big button, pick your file, and you're done.
Option BPaste the textFor AI responses
If you copied a plan from an AI chat (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.), paste the entire response into the box below — every character from the first { to the last }. Then click Load Plan.
Back Up Your Data
What is a backup? A backup is a single file that contains a snapshot of your meal plan, favorites, ratings, notes, and everything else you've saved in this app. You can use it to restore your data later if something goes wrong.
Why back up? Everything in this app is stored only in your web browser. If you clear your browser data, switch computers, or something goes wrong, your recipes and favorites could disappear. A backup file keeps your data safe outside the browser.
When should I back up? Before loading a new meal plan from an AI, before clearing browser data, and every once in a while just to be safe.
💡 Where to save your backup file
Your Downloads folder is fine for a quick backup, but files there can get lost in the clutter.
For safer keeping, copy the file to a folder you'll remember (like "Meal Plan Backups" on your Desktop).
Even better: save it to cloud storage like Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud, or OneDrive so you can recover it from any computer.
You can also copy it to a USB flash drive as an extra safety net.
What to include in the backup
Everything is included by default. The only reason to turn something off is if you want a smaller, focused backup (like "just my favorites").
